About Us
Mission
Through interaction, support, and education, China Care Bruins aims to foster enriching relationships between Chinese adoptees and UCLA students, fund necessary medical procedures for special-needs orphans in China, educate the community about adoption and identity issues, and establish relationships among its student members.
Description
Founded in 2005, China Care Bruins is a student organization at UCLA dedicated to providing greater opportunities for Chinese adoptees in the US and orphans in China. As a recognized China Care club by the China Care Foundation, China Care Bruins is one of many China Care clubs established in colleges and high schools across the United States and Canada.

One of the core components of China Care Bruins is our award-winning mentorship program. We partner with Families with Children from China - Southern California (FCC-SoCal) to put on fun, educational events each month for adoptees and students at UCLA. Through one-on-one mentorship, we are able to create long-lasting friendships between the child and mentor.
In addition, we help to improve the lives of children in Chinese orphanages through fundraising and community service. As a student organization, all of the money we raise from fundraising is used to cover the cost of life-saving medical operations for special needs orphans cared for by China Care Foundation. We make it our goal to contribute as much as we can through various fundraising projects such as food sales and charity concerts.
If you want to become a mentor to a Chinese adoptee and help to improve the lives of children in China's orphanages, then we would love for you to join us! China Care Bruins can empower YOU to make a difference in this world.
