About Us
Recently started in 2005, China Care Bruins follows in the footsteps of other China Care Clubs established across North America to provide greater opportunities for Chinese orphans. Through care, interaction, and education, China Care Bruins hopes to improve the predicament of orphans in China as well as support the adoption of Chinese orphans into loving families here in the United States.
We work throughout the year to do our part to improve the lives of children located in Chinese orphanages by fundraising for adoptions, life-saving surgeries, and building renovations. The difference that support makes in the lives of the children in China is significant, and so we make it our goal to contribute as much as we can through various fundraising projects that are both fun for our volunteers and beneficial for the children.
In addition to helping improve the lives of Chinese orphans abroad, we also work to enrich the lives of adopted Chinese children in our own community. Partnering with Families with Children from China, we put on educational, fun events for the adopted children of local families.
China Care Bruins is eager to make a positive impact. If you have the heart and motivation to improve the lives of children in China's orphanages and to be a mentor and friend to the children and youth from China here at home, we would love to have you join us! China Care Bruins will empower you to make a difference in this world.
Mission
Our mission is to give Chinese orphans the opportunity for a life of love and American families the means to provide it. And, in the process, to positively affect the lives of those who help as well as those who are helped, compelling all involved to pass the same mission on to others. We hold strongly to the belief that one person can make a difference: one child, one student, one parent, one volunteer, one family. China Care Bruins’ mission is to…
- Provide life-saving surgeries for children in need of medical procedures
- Promote adoptions by American families
- Provide the medical equipment, food and supplies for children living in China Care’s Children’s Homes
- Mentor adoptees living in our area
